Tools 4 Wisdom Monthly Planner

These days, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who does not use their smartphone or some other electronic device to keep themselves organized.  However, there are still folks out there who like to manage their goings-on “old school” style; with a daytime/calendar planner, and I have found one that I really love! For those of you who must make a list and check it twice, the Monthly Planner from Tools4Wonder is the old school organizational planner and calendar that’s a must-have.

I happen to be old school when it comes to keeping myself organized. With a busy family, friends, and work schedule, it’s just easier for me to keep it together by writing things down.

The paper-based planner/calendar is functional in so many ways. The outer cover is a thick and durable clear vinyl cover. The other day, I was sitting at my desk and dripped coffee on my planner, but thankfully was able to easily wipe it away.

At the front of the planner there is both a professional (on the left) and personal (on the right) goals and ideas section, perfect for the sales and marketing folks, college student, or someone who owns their own business. It includes sections for top, medium and optional priorities, respectively for both categories. The planner begins November 2013 and ends December 2014 and appointments can be jotted down starting at 5AM and ending at 11PM.

The Tools4Wonder Monthly Planner is perfect for when you’re on the go and don’t have access to your electronic calendar. College students will find it especially helpful for keeping track of goals, project and class schedules and exams. Anyone who travels will also find it especially helpful and easy to use. Space to write down notes is plentiful, but the nice thing that I found to be especially helpful is its size, as it fits nicely inside of a tote, backpack, briefcase or travel carry-on.

I really wish this book would have been around 25 years ago when I was going through a divorce and my son was little.  My divorce was ugly and my ex wouldn’t let it go.  I had no friends when it was over because all of my friends were his friends. That’s just how it was. 

The author of the book discusses her experiences dealing with an emotional unstable ex-husband and how he manipulates her and her children.  This hit so close to home.  I remember how my ex would manipulate me.  I could relate to this book.  I believe recently separated/divorced readers will easily identify with the author and those whom have been divorced for years will be able to reflect on their experiences from “long” ago.  I know I could relate. Remember most divorces are not ugly they are just hurtful.  When you marry someone you are totally in love with you are it in for life.  But when your spouse has a personality disorder sometimes it cannot be helped.   And it is devastating to you and your children. 

I believe that the author provides readers with practical advice on how to handle common situations. She points out the need to move on after removing oneself from an emotionally abusive relationship.  I have had friends who have been through this and I will highly recommend this book to them.  This book will help you to move on and give you tips on how to handle your ex who has a personality disorder.  I know people who are going through or dealing with divorce or a spouse who has this disorder can easily identify with this book.

Blue Tulip Oil Cloth Totes and Bags

I am always in need of a make-up bag. Gold Canyon Candles

I received my candles for review almost two weeks ago.  I have burned them in the evenings to see how long they burn.  Needless to say they have not  even burned to the middle of the jar yet. 

I received the scents Caribbean Twilight and Orange Tangerine.  Each are the large containers and they burn 180 hours each.  Which means they will LAST a very long time.

The scent throw on Gold Canyon Candles are amazing.  I have one burning in my bedroom which you can smell all the way to the livingroom.  I live in a 2 story home so the one that is burning in the kitchen you can smell the scent all the way upstairs.

They are so pretty.  Each jar comes with a gold platted lid to use whenever you blow out your candle.  Some come in a pretty decorated jar just like the picture above.  

You can choose your own wax.  For example the Heritage Selection is a proprietary paraffin blend and the Bella Selection is a soy based candle.  When you go to the website you will see all selections from Heritage to Candles for a Cause. 

 They also carry votives, scent blocks,scent pods,scent warmers,tea lights and a variety of candle holders. They have a wonderful selection to choose from.  They carry plugins  as well.  One of my favorites is the Spritz.

This is wonderful to spray on your counters all thru your home.  The scent will last for hours.  They even carry House Hold Supplies such as Glass Cleaner and All Purpose Cleaner.  I was very pleased with all of the selections they had.  They carry Diffusers and Hand Lotion which makes your hands super soft.

Pure Colon Detox

Because I have a sensitive stomach, I am always apprehensive about taking anything that may upset it, especially laxative-type products. Having taken an over the counter women’s laxative that tore me up, I had to plan ahead and maneuver through the product instructions so I wouldn’t run the risk of camping out on the pot! I believe I have found an all-natural product that works great! Here’s how it all “went down.”

On the first day, even though the directions said to take 2 pills, I only took one. If I would have read this book 20 years ago I would have totally understood a lot.  I dated guys who were like this and back then I had no idea what emotional tricks were until later in life. And now I totally understand after reading this book.

The author of this book wrote it because of her own emotional tricks from her ex-husband.  He taught her that he comes first, made everything her fault and played emotional games to keep her in her place.

I found this book very interesting. Not only can you recognize the emotional tricks but you will never get approval of a narcissistic person.  This is something I wished I had known when I was younger.

In this book not only did I learn about emotional abuse I also learned that a very insecure person only cares about themselves and that they protect their ego. You are only there to enhance that ego. 

Some people I dated when I was younger were exactly like that. I was young and didn’t know any better but thank goodness I married a wonderful man. The author finally had enough of this emotional game that her ex-husband was playing and left him. 

A narcissistic person appears to be such a charming and attentive person but is only putting on a front. When you get home and are alone it begins  all over again.  The effect is to isolate you.

If you live or have lived with a narcissistic person you must read this book.   If you are in  such  a situation you can tell them you are not going to tolerate blame anymore and the silent treatment is over, or you could leave.  If you leave just prepare yourself for the consequences of a narcissistic person.  They will have every family and friend against you.

In this book the author doesn’t tell you what to do but instead makes you aware of the problem.  Like I said in my first sentence I wish this book was around when I was younger.  It is a very good book. It is one that I would highly recommend.

SIMPLY FROG BODY SCRUB!!!

I am a big believer in going all natural when it comes to my skincare products. I had never before tried a Body Scrub that was all natural and homemade. After using Simply Frog I was very impressed.

The body scrub consists of Coconut Oil which is the base. It also contains Vitamin E, Almond Oil, fragrance oil, cilantro and lime.  The exfoliant is fine pure cane sugar which is a favorite because you can use it on your face and body.  Recent  article in a Health Magazine  stated that Coconut Oil is the best moisturizer for your skin and that Vitamin E is good for aging. So I know by using this I am getting the best for my skin. 

It makes your skin so soft and very smooth. I used it on my legs, feet and hands.  They were very soft after I rinsed. I don’t think I will go back to using a store bought scrub. I have used many store brand scrubs and they either broke my skin out or I didn’t like the smell of them.  With this I had no break outs and the fragrance is wonderful.

It is  packed in a cute clear 8 oz tub.  They are only $6.00 a tub.   I purchased two of them.  I have not even made a dent in the first tub I am using.   It will last a very long time.  I pamper myself 3 times a week with it.
